Hi, I'm Meloney Brits, in 2008, I immigrated to the Netherlands from George, South Africa, with little idea of how different life would be here! The daily routine was truly an eye-opener for me, everything, and I mean everything, is different here.
The many rules and procedures made it really challenging to feel at home in a new country at first.
It quickly became clear that I wasn't the only one with 1,000+ questions about the simplest things that I hadn't even considered before coming to the Netherlands.
